TESTIMONIALS
We have had such a great experience with Emily at the helm of our fine garden planning and maintenance. Emily is creative, knowledgeable and communicative! She has great ideas when new plantings are needed and keeps a keen eye on what plants and flowers are thriving but also those that might benefit from being transplanted or need some more TLC. She takes into account our vision and budget while incorporating her creativity and is always happy to chat and brainstorm together. Garden design is her passion and it clearly shines through!

Two years ago, Emily designed a wrap-around pollinator garden for Edgehill. Emily prepared the soil (a vital component) and supplied an interesting group of pollinator plants, including Mountain Mint, Amsonia, Wild Geranium, Common Milkweed, Agastache and fall blooming asters. The garden thrived, so the following year, we doubled the size, and now we are awaiting the arrival of spring with happy anticipation.
Emily is creative, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and a pleasure to work with. She cares for the site, and I look forward to working with her again. The bees and the butterflies are grateful too!

It was a pleasure to collaborate with Emily on a collection of garden design and installation projects! Her knowledge of and focus on pollinator-friendly plants and native landscapes was exactly what we were looking to add to our new property. Emily took the rough ideas of what we wanted and created beautiful garden palettes that carefully considered our preferences, as well as the conditions on site.
In just a few weeks, what she and her team planted was filling out and thriving, already the host to many birds, bees, and butterflies. She continued to check in during the season to see how things were going and provide advice when we needed it. We look forward to enjoying her work for the many years to come. -- Michelle D, Cos Cob, CT
Emily's gardens have transformed under-utilized lawn into an eco-friendly oasis. Watching so many bee and butterfly species thrive here has brought us a lot of joy. Having gone through the NYBG education program, she has been able to do everything from soil-building to propagating hard-to-find native plants. Landscapes are an ever-evolving process we look forward to working with Amsonia Design on more projects in the future.

I came to the pollinator party late, having watched Emily and my wife enjoy creating our first garden. My particular passion is butterflies and Emily is helping us find the host plants as well as the nectar plants that ensure we have a total habitat for all the species that Connecticut has to offer. -- Don K, Cos Cob, CT
