Garden Design
We work with clients through a design process that includes site visits, inspirational planting palettes, and hand-drawn garden renderings that are completely unique to your patch of Earth.
Each garden is an evolutionary process, incorporating layers of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and bulbs to create a vibrant ecosystem with four-season interest.
From small pocket meadows to entire landscapes, we delight in transforming tired, vacant land into colorful, eco-beneficial sanctuaries that soothe the soul and delight the senses.

Education

If you are like us and see every backyard as an opportunity to protect pollinators, save butterfly species and create beautiful, healthy habitats, chances are you'd like to spread that message.
My lecture "Backyard Ecology: Simple Ways to Protect Nature at Home," is an hour long presentation that gathers and synthesizes best practices and advice I have garnered from garden designers, environmentalists and NYBG faculty: Doug Tallamy, Edwina von Gal, Michael Ruggiero, Steven Conaway and Marta McDowell.

The simple steps outlined in this talk prove that it doesn't take much to make an ecological impact in your own backyard.
